Congratulations to one of our founding partners Gestamp who recently won manufacturer of the year at the Made in the North East Awards 2022!
Despite 2021 being a difficult year for the automotive industry, Gestamp continued to invest in the Aycliffe plant, bringing 150 jobs by the introduction of new customer lines for BMW, Nissan and JLR. This, according to the judges, made Gestamp the outstanding manufacturer of the year.
As part of International Women’s day and Careers week earlier this year, our students recently visited their Aycliffe plant.
