In 2019 and 2020, we held a series of consultations with students, parents, teachers, employer partners and other community members to develop our Student Leaver Profile (SLP). The SLP is the core skills and qualities the UTC community want to see students developing during their time at UTC South Durham.

These core skills are crucial to our students and will form the foundation of your time here at UTC. You'll understand the skills needed to be successful at work and will receive feedback from employers and our staff so that you understand your strengths and know what you need to improve. Your experiences in the UTC and externally with businesses will give you the opportunity to develop these skills and build your confidence. This will mean that you'll understand what employers are looking for and be ready for the world of work
