Destinations
Destinations (young people going on to meaningful next steps and careers) are the reasons for UTCs existing. This focused approach to education is new to the North East of England and employers and parents say that young people leave UTC with strong workplace skills and a confidence that sets them up for future careers.

UTC South Durham does not set targets for the proportion of students heading to university, apprenticeships or employment; the focus is about finding the best route for every individual student and helping them to achieve that next step.*NEET stands for not in education, employment or training
