We have a number of industry partners who are committed to developing our students core skills and professional experiences. Each year these companies interact with us by giving our students the opportunity to solve problems they currently face.
The brief: Company representatives deliver a brief to students about the project that they will be working on
Team work at UTC: Students spend dedicated curriculum time working together on innovative solutions to the problem
Feedback: Company representatives provide feedback on student initial ideas and provide direction to their projects
The presentation: Students are required to present their projects in a celebration event with our industry partners.
The benefit is that students get to:
- Create connections with people in industry.
- Get an insight into how companies operate and the different roles available to them after UTC.
- Work with their peers in a new way to develop their team building and leadership skills.
- Enhance their employability by having a unique opportunity to list on their CV and explain at interview.
