Sixth Form

Sixth Form

We offer three bespoke pathways for students in Sixth Form. Whether it’s progressing onto University or applying for an apprenticeship, our specialist courses and supportive culture has everything students need to get there.

Understanding PaCE

Our Professional and Careers Experience lessons (PaCE) bring together personal, professional and career skills development and is delivered in partnership with local, regional and national employers.

Students work side by side with engineers, project managers, designers, HR experts and business owners to develop an understanding of professional life; learn key leadership and employment skills; experience the world of work through projects, work experience and mentoring; and to understand more about our diverse and vibrant communities.

Through PaCE students gain experience working as a leader or as part of team to solve real world problems and be given the chance to impress employers from across the region.

Enrichment

Uniform

Our Sixth Form dress code mirrors the professional working environment. Students studying Level 3 courses dress in business attire and are provided with protective clothing when appropriate. Students studying a Level 2 course dress in UTC branded workwear which is purchased from our uniform supplier.
