I am a highly experienced maintenance and technical professional with over 24 years in equipment maintenance, predominantly within the offshore drilling and construction industry. My expertise spans hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and control systems. I have spent the last 14 years in leadership roles, including Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Team Leader. I specialise in operational oversight, safety management, regulatory compliance, team development, and delivering maintenance projects to the highest standards. Passionate about problem-solving, quality assurance, and continuous improvement, I have led the planning and execution of maintenance schedules, inventory management, and procedural development while maintaining an unwavering commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence. I hold an N4 National Diploma in Electronic Engineering, multiple City & Guilds electrical and inspection qualifications, LOLER Competent Person status, and am currently studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Economics. As a Trustee, I am keen to bring my practical engineering experience, leadership skills, and strong focus on safety and standards to support UTC South Durham in preparing the next generation of STEM professionals.
